MISD All-State Musicians
Being selected as an All-State musician is one of the highest honors a Texas music student can receive. Approximately 1,600 students are selected through a multi-level audition process that begins in September with over 70,000 students from across the state vying for the honor to perform in one of 15 Texas All-State Bands, Choirs and Orchestras. All-State students participate in three days of rehearsals, directed by nationally recognized conductors during the annual state TMEA Clinic/Convention held in San Antonio, and then close the convention with performances for the membership, parents and other guests.
