Jared Critchfield, Ph.D. - Director Bio
Dr. Critchfield attended elementary, middle, and high school in the great McKinney ISD. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University, his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from SMU, and his PhD in Music Education from the University of North Texas. Since 2008, he has worked in McKinney ISD as a high school and middle school choir teacher and as a high school assistant principal. He has also taught teacher preparation courses in elementary and secondary music education at UNT. He is a published researcher whose writings can be found in major national journals of music education. Dr. Critchfield and his wife are the proud parents of four daughters who attend school in McKinney ISD.
