MISD Marching Bands Advance to Finals

Congratulations to the three MISD high-school marching bands for advancing from the preliminary round of competition to the finals at the Wylie Marching Contest, held this past Saturday, October 15th.  Twenty-three bands participated in the contest and ten bands were selected to advance to the finals.

In the finals, MHS placed 4^th overall; MBHS placed 5^th overall and the Boyd Percussion Ensemble received a 1^st-place Caption Award; and North placed 7^th overall and the North Color Guard received a 2^nd-place Caption Award.

The bands will compete again in Wylie on Saturday, October 22nd in the Region 25 UIL 5A/6A Marching Contest.  Contest performance times for MISD groups are: North-2:30 p.m.; Boyd-3:15 p.m.; and MHS-4:30 p.m.
